Three witches oratorio
Okay this album is epic, this band doesn’t really slap, it slams hahaha. Honestly, come to the show on the 13th of March if you can, it’s gonna be so beautiful and interesting and wholesome. We asked Jordan and his crew all about the album and the one-off concert that launches it. It was going to be called an Opera - the show and the album, because the album reads like a book, sort of, and it’s dramatic and the music is so well-thought-through. So an oratorio is a performance curated with various tales that typically include religious iconography, as allowed to an opera which is a performance of one story with consistant characters. Turns out, the three witches are the object of three different proxy-folk tales, each with a different protagonist and fictional world. These tales feel authentically archeological and indigenous, though they’re synthesized by Jordy (Jordan Deneka) inspired by various artifacts he’s encountered and the experiences they tell. From unique instruments, to plaques for tourists, and stories from authors and Jordan’s elders.
