G’day, this is staunchy cat, im covering the coup de cloud blog and tick tock or whatever until someone steps up and takes over from me so I can get back to making beats. Anyway, our first announcement:
On behalf of a very proud community/organisation/record-label, I’d like to introduce our first ever artist at CoupdeCloudRecordings:
Deneka
Deneka is a trip and we’ve been delighted to work with them. The composer, Jordan Deneka, has an authentic approach to music and life fits right in with our ‘artist first’ policy. He dreams up ideas and crafts them to fruition with such care and joy. There is a lot of love in the Deneka project and they’re making really interesting, well considered music. That’s why cdc snatched em up! One day Deneka and all artists represented by CoupdeCloudRecordings will not be available via any big tech platforms, but until we reach our audience goals, our artists' art will be available EVERYWHERE. Deneka in their most recent configuration have seriously cracked open something golden. Their upcoming music is honestly wild, and we’re all already big fans of the project.
The current line up is:
Jordan Deneka - Voice, Guitar, Electric Organ
Milo Emmanuel - Drums, backing vocals
Matt Barba - Guitar and Electronics
raamii - Bass
If you’re not across it, Deneka's first album ‘Tangerine Beach’ (produced by Jordy and Josh Andrews O’Neil) is absolutely beautiful. My favourite track is ‘Here lies the sun’.
We actually have pretty big news about this artist coming in hot 2026. This artist is actually just pretty big news. I swear they’re a part of some 70’s renaissance, but they're fresh as hellllllllllll.
For now their first single from their epic album is available as of the 25th of February 2026.
The Sea Witch pt.2
I don’t really understand it but Deneka will give us plenty of schpeel and yarn about it as it drops and the big concert is announced, whoops. All I know is that it’s colossal, classic and it slaps. And I mean I’ve heard all the music as it’s been made and it really is groovy and catchy, while still un-expecting and experimental.
Get on to jordy here:
